Optimization of extraction of polyphenols from chestnut shell by response surface methodology

چکیده

Abstract Chestnut shell is one of the main by-products in chestnut processing, which contains abundant polyphenols, so it can be used as a source polyphenols. In this study, using ethanol extraction solvent, optimum conditions polyphenols from were determined by single factor experiment and response surface experiment: liquid-solid ratio 39:1, temperature 74°C, time 91 min, concentration 65%. Under these conditions, rate (ER) was 6.09%. The results assist better exploitation shell, not only reduce resource waste environmental pollution, but also obtain economic benefits.
